Photographer's Note
Rice harvesting is still carried out entirely by hand in some part of the country. This is along the Hanoi-Haiphong highway. The weather is damp and warm so the rice needs to be cut and later dried before storage. Vietnam is the second largest exporter of rice following Thailand apparently. It is a huge but sustainable crop. In the north as shown here there are two crops per year, and in the south with longer season, they can produce three crops per year from the same fields.

Hello Murray,
a nice shot of this people working, the group is placed in the right position, the guy onj the left side working very well as a "counter balance".
Nice saturation, strong colours, just a slight lack of sharpness, but it seems it was a cloudy day with low light?
best regards,
Katrin

Hi Murray,
The length of the rice field is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the action of the people harvesting the crop. The morning light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi, Murray,
Good rural reportage from Vietnam. Quality is not the best, I think your took this photo through the glass of a car or a bus. But I like this composition of working people.
Regards,
Serghei
