Photographer's Note
Long Bien bridge, built by the French, bombed by the American and rebuilt by Uncle Ho but life to some remains unchanged.
Spanning the Red River connecting Hanoi to Haipong, it was built in 1903 by the French architect Gustave Eiffel. Originally known as Doumer Bridge named after Paul Doumer the Governor General of Indochina. The 2.5km long of strategic importance at that time, was heavily bombarded by the American during Vietnam War.
Watching human traffic on this bridge early in the morning is very interesting life time learning experience. I was so touched witnessing how the locals struggle to make a living, crossing on foot with all the loads on their shoulders as can be seen here. I tried to be senstive as much as possible as not to disrupt their privacy!
Shot taken from the bridge, on cloudy morning after slight drizzle

hello Abmdsudi
I like here the shallow DOF making the lady wearing her heavy burden stand out nicely on the blurred black/blue BG
Maybe I'd have cropped the lady at right
Also you have a bit of green chromatic abbherations (for instance on the bridge) that you can get rid of easily in Lightroom or Pshop
An excellent daily life shot anyway
Have a nice day
Best

Hi Abmdsudi
Very unusual POV but it is attractive. It looks fine, personally I may would had tried it the other way around, that the viewer would see the faces and not the backs, but possibly this was not possible for some reason. Nonetheless I like your shot. Thanks for your critique of my Kuala Kedah processing site shot. I guess monsoon is not the season you see a lot of fresh local seafood, most of it in Malaysia is imported from Thailand.
Best regards
Urs

Hello Abmdsudi,
Great shot in bad weather, but I think it says more than another "shiny happy people in the sunshine" picture. I also like the confrontational title, which ambiguously refers to both the bridge and the people on it - although I suspect no one here is old enough to have actually participated in the American War.
It's great to see you continuing your quality work.
Benny

Hello admdsudi,
You're capturing well this daily life shot of vietnamese by excellent rich tone and a good composition, so it's impressive and interesting to see person who suffers traditional hat and carries a pack. And, it's impressive to see people who try to pass bridge by bicycle wearing raincoat to body forward of that and to come off, too. The bridge is facilities important though we move in life. It is sad to be destroyed in the war.
The Vietnamese is a race with a high boast. They have the strong willpower strongly resisted if there is no justice also in the big country such as the United States and China.
It is likely to come because their having the mind that modern people lose originates in their past histories.

mikio

Halo Abmdsudi!
Photography is the art of revealing some
things and hide others. You did that very
well when we focus on working women,
which wanted to show.
Perfect composition, friend.
Selamat tinggal!
