Just a hat hanging on a wall. Walls around Hanoi are covered in these stamps - I'm told they're the contact numbers of plasterers and renderers.

J’aime beaucoup ce genre de photo, simple mais très riche en détails,
C’est une superbe composition ici avec la position du chapeau entouré de tous ces chiffres,
Très belles couleurs également,
Excellente réalisation !

A nice still-life, this one. Good colours and well spotted. A black frame around it and it could be a Vietnam postcard!

You know what this is a really nice one. I love simplicity. There is nothing complicated than simplicity. Good colors, and good point of view. It does show where this picture is taken. You have good eyes. Well done. Sothy

You must have seen my mountain sunset photo on today's TE front page being critiqued. I was pleased that my photo was displayed and even more pleased that you enjoyed the image. This is a very interesting shot. Your composition is perfect and the SE Asian hat and the wall covered stamps not only add cultural information but they are visually interesting also. I like the weathered walls and the fact that you have included some blue lettering to offset all of the warm yellow and red hues. I knew immediately that this was SE Asia and guessed right away that it was Viet Nam. I think that some photo judges would like your image in a travel photo contest. Just because the general public doesn't see the value in this excellent photograph, doesn't neccessarily mean that it has little potential value (you just need the right audience). I think that you may be pleasantly surprised if you entered this photo in a photo contest. Your photo fits perfectly into the Trek Earth theme of learning about the world through photography. This is excellent work!

very original image. I really like stuff like this. Well framed to include some blues in the composition.

This is a very interesting looking shot. It has a look of an old poster of a kind. Like one of those old Chinese movie posters you see every now and than in these funky places in Japan or on random street corners in Bangkok. Well done. The yellow is dominating and is well complemented by the red and blue stamps.
