I took this photo in the Old Quarter of Vietnam - quite near to my hotel.
The painting the artist is working on is of Hanoi's old city gate - which is still standing.
The Old Quarter is dominated by small hotels, travel agencies, restaurants and art galleries.
Browsing through the art galleries is a nice way to spend a couple of hours.
A funny thing about the art galleries, is that they will normally have to turn on the lights when you walk in.
They are very eco-friendly.

These are maybe not the greatest paintings I've ever seen, but they're all right for a colourful picture with a lot of local Vietnamese flavour. If you had just removed the red chair in the left corner...

A fine shot of this artist doing his thing. Some nice looking paintings in his gallery. Good composition and light management.

I find this very good!
This setting creates an atmosphere of tranquillity and peacefulness. Painter is as cool as a cucumber. The lifelike(rice-planting) paintings of that artist are good examples of illustration.
