12.20 p.m. - You must have noticed and wondered about the misty atmosphere at the harbour and I was told that the best time to visit Halong is September as the sky would then be clear.
There are basically two types of cruise ships to cater for the needs of the tourists. There are those specifically for day trips which are smaller and do not have rooms for overnight stay. Those that catered for overnight trips will have at least eight twin-bed air conditioned rooms which occupy the lower deck, while the upper deck is usually for dining with a mini bar attached. There will also be an open deck above this where the tourists can enjoy the lovely scenery and relax.
Hot water is provided for bathing but only available at specific times and so is the electricity supply in the rooms. My friend was half way through bathing when the hot water runs out and he had to reluctantly finish up with cold water. It is also advisable to choose rooms away from the engine room as it can be noisy at night and the smell of diesel can put you off from a good night sleep.

It's nice photo with cold climate. The background is blur and give the front objects very sharp. I really like it.

Hi Aloysius,
Very nice overview of the ships in the calm water, well composed with also a good inclusion of the two small boats in the foreground. The ships stand out well against the misty background. Well done and thanks for sharing!
Regards,
Lars

Hello Aloysius,

A little bit a bizarre situation with the swimming in this water, hot and cold exactly a health course.
The boats and the foreground are very nice good sharpness and clarity.
Nice composition and excellent colours.
Thanks for sharing.

Best regards,
John.

Hello Aloysius
A great atmosphere you portrayed here with the boats & ships in the FG & the karst hills as a hazy silhouette in the BG. Did you use Noise removal software here as evidenced from the water in the FG? But this is an excellent view & a good picture.
Best Wishes
Angshuman

This is Halong bay too ! An overcrowded place !
But it keeps its magic, especially with that mist, when the night comes... Typical and well managed.
