A really like this thoughtful and unself-conscious portrait. The lines in the door and the lines on the woman's face reinforce a message of strength as well as age. Beautiful colors too.

Waht a wonderful protrait in which the shooting is powerful, with the look, the lips, and general expression of this woman... behind the door.

Light of your picture is also very important and accurate allowing to give us very good details of the woman and the door...

hi caleb,
whatever this lady was thinking when you were taking the shot, I think her gaze is simply key in this portrait. the light (almost from below) underlines the situation, and the red scarf around her head is another interesting visual point of interest. the colours are brilliant and vivid indeed, but I think they suit the image.

you know i think i would have cropped this even tighter Caleb nd taken away the blue in the top left hand corner. But thats just if i had had this excellent portrait before me!

A great compo again for a powerful portrait. The neat details of the face, the comtemplative expression, the striking colors of the traditional clothing, are sustained by a beautiful light and a good exposition. Bravo!
