In rural villages of Thua Thien province, there are different types of markets:

- Chợ hôm: evening market, very late in the afternoon as workers and farmers would shop on their way home.
- Chợ mai: morning market where buyers and sellers gather during a brief moment for products or harvest of previous night to be sold before residents going to work.
- Chợ xép: supplemental market that lasts only a few hours.

Although electricity is available in Vietnam, refrigerator is rare in Vietnamese family. Fish, meat or vegetable: they are always fresh and same-day consumption.

This is a picture of a farmer on her misty way to morning market.
