* Hue is located in Thua Thien prefecture and is in the central part of Vietnam. Located about 700 km from Ha Noi and 1080 km from Saigon, Hue has always been considered the fulcrum of Vietnam's two rice baskets, the Red river delta and the Mekong delta. Hue became the name of Vietnam's most well known ancient capital because of the local mispronunciation of the word Hoá in Thuâ.n Hoá.
* Dong Ba market: The market was built under Gia Long reign. There was a two-storey communal house in the middle of the market. In 1899, it was moved to Truong Tien street near Huong river - Dong Ba - Gia Hoi confluence. The market was rebuilt with 4 tile-roofed rows. In the middle, there was a 3 storey bell-tower with clocks hanging on 4 sides. Near the bell-tower, there remained a stone well with a manual water pump. Gradually, it was changed into a market with 4 corners of the same architecture.
* Huong riverside village. A poor village at Gia Hoi bridge. Many worker people live at there. Children are very lovely.
I take this shot when I go back to give some photo to children in village. |
