This magnifcent old gate to Hue's Royal Enclosure is tucked away on the eastern side of the enclosure and leads out into a residential area of the citadel. It is much less grand than the main entrance but still pretty good. It would have been built early in the 19th century.
Taken in overcast weather, hence the forgetable sky and the need for 800 ISO.

Hi Ian, my friend, a beautiful and well balanced shot of this amazing architecture. Well taken with an overcast sky light. Great details. Wonderful colors. Tfs.

Happy New Year to you, I hope it brings lots of travel, health and happiness.
What an amazing old gate. Beautiful details and colours. Yes the overcast conditions were not ideal, but we can't always have blue skies and I think you handled the difficult light very well.
Thanks for sharing, enjoy your evening

The wealth of architecture and decoration is incredibly complicated, almost extravagant. The clarity allows us to see many details. The colors of the building are excellent. Bravo.
Have a nice day
