Le N/B ici me rappelle les photos des livres d'histoire de l'époque coloniale. L'ombre et la perche donnent beaucoup de dimension à cette image. Une note du photographe serait apréciée.

this is nice, pity about the harsh light and lack of detail of the person, also would like to see more of the shadow

If you took this picture in Quang Tri Province, this should be the Bru Van Kieu ethnic minority people living near National Highway 9 running from Dong Ha to Laos (off Khe Sanh firebase). The H'mong minority is living in the area between NW Vietnam, North Laos and SW of Yunnan Province, China.

Technically, this backlight photo is an obvious photographic success. I prompted me to return several times because it leaded me to lot of souvenirs during wartime within this hot zone.
