Photographer’s Note

Another photograph during my looking around the Cairang Market in Can Tho, Mekong delta, Suu Cu Long river. So bustling ! The girl receiving the products with the note book. The farmers selling the products which you can buy just a few minutes after in the market in Can Tho. Like the wholesalers fruit and vegetables markets at home, but with a big difference .... here there is no river, no water, no boats; roads, trucks, computers. Same businnes, different way.

Wow, thank you for your great photo and caption. It helps to explain the many things going on in your photo. I spend several weeks every year in Vietnam. I know the orchestrated chaos very well, my family lives in a marketplace in Nha Trang. Only a trained eye can see everything that is happening here. Thanks!

I like this floating market, they are selling things fruits, vegetables and food between the locals and not just selling souverniers to tourist. It's trully a very authentic daily life image. I like all the activities that is going on, no one even know or care that you were there taking photos of them. Excellent observation and well captured life in motion. Bon dias.

Hi Roser, this is an excellent daily life, full of action and movement. A typical scene from Vietnam, where everyone seems industrious and busy trading or working. I wish the sky was less grey, but there's not much you can do about that!

Dear Roser

I just had another look at your gallery, this floating market looks much more natural as what the Thais show the tourists in Damneon Saduak and other places. It seems that real floating market exist in Vietnam till today. In Thailand they name them but they are made for tourists. There is only one which still is natural, but that is not a market for fruit and vegetable but there are floating kitchen boats.

Coming back to your picture. You did not have the best weather, but at least it was not raining. The action is well captured. Color hues are adequate considering the weather, shaprness is fine and DOF is perfect. Well done, I like it.
