Lots of good detail in this fine documentary shot, Murray. The woman is brightly lit as from a flash and her skin comes off pinkish a bit but it's a good upload for sure.
I might try a litle workshop if you don't mind.

i like how this gives us an insight into how these hats are made. while i agree the quality is not high, it's still informative. although the ws version is good too. tfs!

Hello Murray,

You've captured the hatmaker concentrating on her art! The light and shadows, colors and definition are all exquisite. The texture of the straw hats is virtually palpable. Superb shot, my friend.

Hi Murray, this is a nice "active" portrait of this lady making the hats. The composition is a good one of her at her work place with very good light.

So that's how they made this hats! Last week I saw some Vietnamese people (oh, maybe from some other country of that region), working on a field near Moscow! And they were wearing these hats. I found this very ridiculous, you know.
