| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Pottery is a long-standing handicraft in almost every areas in Vietnam, each area nevertheless has a different type of pottery and mode of production.
This pottery is in the South-West area of Vietnam - Dong Thap. all potteries here are built in domed structure, and not like the other pottery which are fuel from coal or gas, people here use rice-husk as fuel to fire. Usually one cycle of production take about 15 days: 1 day for loading in, 10 days for fire, 3 days for getting cold and one day to load out.
The day I took this picture was the second day of cold-down step. The temperature inside was still rather high so the worker could not bear to stay inside for a long time. He tried his best to help me to carry and move those pots up and down to find a good scene but after about 15 minutes we both had to run out because of the high temperature. |

Wow, great perspective, nice capture of the light.
This is such a good photo!
The various geometric shapes and the man in the right place in the frame makes this a superb photo.
The lighting is nice as well.
Thanks
Brian
