[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is the second day of TET, the Vietnamese new year, which is mine as well. For the past three years, i had not been home, but spent one new yr in Thailand and two in Vietnam. Last year, i was at my boatman's house in Can Tho, a town by the Mekong river.

The boy who has no ice-cream is Teng, son of my boatman's cousin. Teng is extremely shy, contented to just sit beside his cousins while they enjoy their ice-cream, a special treat for the kids since it's new year. Of course, he did get his share later.

Sadly, i will be home for new year in 2007.

This is a really special shot Sebastian.
Maybe we're a little bit alone in this TE world who counts fully on colors but I admire your kind of photography very much as well.Very lovely picture with best timing.
Your cropping is also very well done.Seems like from a medium format.Congratulations!

Hi Sebastian,
your galerie is small but you have superb b/w shots.
I choose to critique this one because I like this scene, 3 children with 3 different attitudes.
Keep up the good work.

Excellent choice blk n wht. Great subjects

Brilliant photo Sebastian... You'0re suffering from a phenomena here on TrekEarth where you get little points simply because you're just starting, you are not known here, so few people come and comment.

I can tell you this photo would easily get dozens of points if it was from another member with longer roots in TE.

It's a great triple portrait with a very nice situation, a great ice-cream eating pose, and the looks of two people directly into your camera... very good indeed, I really appreciate it!
