Photographer’s Note

I bought a new scanner, better than the 10 years old one that i had...so, from today there will be for some weeks a series of old images of the past 20 years, from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Cook, Australia, China, Usa, Iceland, France, Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey, Maldives, Honduras, Nicaragua...

Yesterday i had scanned some dozens of ten years old images about Vietnam.

This first one is maybe one of my favourite picture that i ever did.
I scanned the picture several times with the old scanner but everytime with bad result, loosing colours, light, quality.

The picture isn't good also on the original one, it was took from a running long boat, under a bit of rain on a canal of the Mekong Delta, with the 200mm lens.
Not easy at all.

Anyway, i like this image 'cause inside there is all the grace and mood of Vietnam and Vietnamise people.
That woman on the bycicle with a cool hat and orange dress in the middle of the forest....fantastic!

A nice colour contrast, between the orange attired cyclist, & the verdant green jungle of Vietnam. Good sharpness & pov. Bellisimo!

Vieille photo, mais qui n'a rien perdu de sa splendeur, j'ai l'impression de ressentir la chaleur moite de cette végétation luxuriante.
Les couleurs sont superbes et l'ambiance parfaitement rendue.

You did well to capture this at this moment. The orange stands out well amongst all the green. The reflected orange in the water is a nice touch.

Congrats for the new hardware, and as it seems judging by the overall quality of the image it works well, we can see it's pre-TE work for you have centered her so much !

mi sa' che la piccola e' arrivata a casa e allora papi che non puo' uscire scannerizza le foto .......
bene hai fatto bene perche' hai tirato fuori una bella foto , magari andando avanti cerca di migliorare la qualita' della scansione . cosi' va gia' bene

Sarebbe stato fantastico anche senza l'acqua... e poi c'è l'acqua e il riflesso arancione!! Che bello, che scena da film. Avanti con lo scanner!!

Hello Paolo. Which for a wonderful photo. In the midst of the dominating green forest the woman in the oranges dress. I always admired the distinguished and elegant vietnamese women and their clothes. The photo has an impressing effect. A good shot in the correct moment. Best regards, Wolfgang.
