Very classic view of the Mekong, women paddling back home after the market's finished(see previous Phong Dien market shot).
From 10AM the light is very harsh and it's quite difficult to get a balanced shot.

You have mentioned the harsh light Luko, and this shot does suffer from it slightly. Perhaps the creative use of an ND grad filter may help, I am not certain. Your composition is great here, with the main subject pointing towards the other boat really creating a nice line. I am affraid the light on the right hand side, especially in the upper right corner is dissappointing, but this is still a very nice shot, even though it was not taken with your Leica ;)

I agree with Darren. As you said: the light is too harsh here. This would have been an excellent shot in other circumstances. I like the angle you picked...were you standing in the water or something?

It looks like the light is meant to be "harsh" and I like it that way.
I think this is a very attractive shot due to the soft colours & shapes and the perfect composition.
But I think it could use a slight rotation to the right...

Lighting aside, this is one of those images that I would have preferred greater depth of field. I think the second boat would have helped. Still, it is a nice picture.

Beautiful composition. Movement in tranquility. I like this very much. I know what 10AM look like in VN so I think you have done great here.
I just realized this picture is taken by Luko. I have thought until this point it is a Cedar's shot. Are you trying to pull one from us Luko.

Beautiful composition that makes a very peacefull picture.
I agree about the light, but emotion is stronger than technic.

The symmetry of the boat (and paddle position) in the background is quite pleasing. I like the soft feeling this shot conveys. Composition is incredible.

Text-book case of brilliant composition. Exposure for me is a bit too bright (I would certainly have been tempted to undertake ten minutes of selective PS work).
Very good none-the-less.

Love the composition and depth of field, really not too bothered by the mentioned exposure problems. Great shot.

You've grasped the beauty of the morning. The hands of the second person in the boat do not really disturb me

I love this picture it is so real. The hazy background is what I would see if I had to paddle fast enough to catch up with her

Truly wonderful photo! Your photos of the Mekong delta in Vietnam really bring back good memory of my visits to my relatives in Vietnam. The composition is great. The out-of-focus background really brings the foreground subject much closer.

I really like the perfectly controlled DOF on the character of the left hand side. I don't mind the harsh light since it enhanced the various green tones of the palm trees.
Your framing of the left bank of the river together with the boat in the foreground out of focus make perfect elements to strengthen the perspective effect.
Great Asian shot in my opinion.

You dealt with the harsh light very well! It works!

It's so beautiful that prompts me to ask myself, "Is this from my country Vietnam?"
I am proud and I am thanking you, Luko.

Beautiful composition, with the well focused woman in the front and the other one in a diagonal and blurred. The light ocnditions don't bother me at all. I like the way the first woman looks coming out of the shadows. Regards, Yvonne
