[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A closer look at one of the lottery-ticket sellers in Chau Doc as seen in a previous upload.
He sat for hours by the busy road, shoes-off and hat-on, but I never saw anyone buy a ticket, and his neat display of tickets illuminated by a battery-powered lamp remained untouched.

Cropped and used Neat Image to remove a bit of grain, then added a frame.

Hi Brian,

i guess this pic is from the same serie than yours "National lottery". It compliment very good that and adds another interesting and different POV. Well done!! :)

Best regards.

I like the tight framing, and the whole image has a good balance to it, with not an inch of wasted space. The way he's looking out at the empty street works well, especially combined with the title and your note.
Good lighting, and it's very sharp considering the long shutter speed - was it handheld?
I like it, good work Brian.

Cheers,
Ben

Brain,
Still looks a little grainy - but that aside, I love the composition which cuts neatly across the frame in two diagonals, and you note brings this others rather obscure image together! :)
Regards
Colin

Beautiful shot, Brian from one my favorite places, quaint, indefinable Chau Doc on the Cambodain border... I love the theatricality of both the lighting and the framing here. So well see. Excellent,
Francis

Hi Brian,
I like this kind of melancholic shots, good balanced lighting with soft saturated colors which fits perfectly to this scene.
Best regards from Spain,Lance

Hi Brian,

Excellent composition here. The man looks like he has been there forever, and he looks like he will be there...well, forever.

There is a strange light falling upon his face - its nice. I guess its from his lamp.

It might have been nice to catch someone walking past, to give a better story here. Also, its a small shame that I cannot see what he is selling.

However, I like it.

Hi Brian. I really like the way you've painted with the light on this photo. It's clearly night but there's enough light to get a good, sharp shot. The diagonal (top left to bottom right) for all the points of interest make for a pleasing composition. TFS. Paul.
