Interesting photo, very well-treated in b&w! TFS.
But, imho, you shouldn't cut off this foot on left. And you should crop it on right on the cradle's end.

hey anne
welcome to TE. your subject is great, but you need to work on technical aspects. lots of blown highlights in the background and on the boy's shirt.
as the previous poster said, you should keep the girl's foot in shot, but other than that, i like your framing.
regarding your note, some more detail would be good. particularly the village name and any experiences you had while there. eg, did they mind you taking their photograph?
keep contributing, good luck with future shoots.
