Shelter

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
We were walking around a E De village during the very bright and hot midday sun, when I saw this little boy standing in the entrance of a longhouse. These longhouses were very different from the very well maintained ones in the village we were staying the night. The houses in this village (on the other side of lak Lake) were very rickety and quite literally bursting at the seams.
We didn't see many people outside, most were seeking shelter inside the houses, peeking out through the doorways and holes in the walls at the visitors.
The boy came out just long enough for me to take a picture, before he scurried back inside.

I was trying to link in the text to some further information on E De culture, but I can't get it to work *blush*, so I will post it here:

Hello Sandra - welcome to TE. This is a good shot, informative and with an interesting and appealing subject. I love the natural pose of this little boy and his direct gaze. He's well positioned in the shot. The details of the construction and condition of the delapidated longhouse are fascinating. Nice work.
Oi, Sandra.
Bem vinda ao TE!
Adoro essa coisa de conhecer o mundo por aqui.

very nice composition, I really like the color of this photo. It is very smooth and not too much saturation. : )

You got to show how fragile is the home and life of this boy at same time the geometric shapes in the wall and the door give to this photo a interest to human figure at right.
