Photographer's Note
Those who are attracted to desolation should visit the ship's graveyard in the former prosperous fisherman town of Muynak in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, West Uzbekistan. The photo overlooks the remains of once forth largest lake on Earth - the Aral Sea. The decaying ships and sea shells in the burning sand are the only reminders of the sea presence in the past.
