This picture was taken in the street of Tashkent city centre the capital of Uzbekistan, in the late cold winter afternoon almost at the end of the day and I thought it's only appropriate to play around with available elements - the light and shadow when the sun at a low angle to the horizon.
Positioned myself across the road along the main thoroughfare to pick and choose the right subjects to enter the stage, but the down side was that the pedestrians was pretty heavy and frankly it was difficult to get decent images.
Like any street photography there is seldom chance to manipulate the elements into shapes that work to perfection and here is no different.
This is the enjoyment about street photography in unknown territory and also it's all part of the life time experience but the results are very true to life.
Obviously light is nothing without shadows, and out of twenty shots, this is one of them...

I cant believe to be the first to comment this capture where you play with light, shadows and silhouettes, like in a Chinese design
Like the plenty of life and movement of the street capture
Congrats and enjoy the weekend

You're capturing well this scene by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the long shadow of people projected to the wall. Surely, the sun light near to the horizon in winter afternoon draws out an interesting phenomenon in this image.

Une superbe capture des silhouettes des personnes, qui donne toujours une forme allongée , orignal, très forte lumière bien gérée, belles scènes de vie

This here is a shadow theatre. Great play of shadows, nearly impossible to distinguish where the people are, and where their shadows, well seen

Playing with shadows is always fun, and the very cool thing here for me is that the shadows are clearer and more interesting that the people throwing them! I could offer a multitude of imagined stories into what these shadows are doing. A great shot to make me think. I guess the sun was really low to create shadows like this!
All the best

A very original composition with that so curious effect of such long shadows, very well managed the light, which affects the clear strong wall and creates a nice effect with the shadows so dark.
Very well done.
Enjoy the weekend.
All the best.

It's interesting to learn how you see the picture with your inner eyes long before you have taken it and carefully plan where to find the most advantageous shooting angle. This shows that street-photography sometimes may be a matter of coincidences and sheer luck but at other times just as carefully staged as a studio-shot. The result in this case is excellent and very attractive, but just as I write these words another idea enters my mind: How about cropping a small slice to the right, to get rid of the half body at the side, so that the two shadows to the right seem to come from nowhere?
PS I certainly didn't believe the wonderful portrait in your last photo was taken at a fashion show or anything like that. I was just so overwhelmed that anyone would go dressed like that in the market, and that you could make such a perfect shot from a distance in a crowd.

it's true that even when you visualise or anticipate your captures, street photography also depends on luck and coincidences and it's full of surprises. You lose a lot but when you get a good one, an unrepeatable scene, it's pure excitement. The scene here is captivating and amusing, the fluid shadows have a more intense and imposing presence than the people. If you cropped the foot of the man walking ahead, the scene would be absolutely surreal, as if the shadows of the two men had preceded them anticipating a dramatic twist that would occur a few moments into the future:) I know it's too much, but this is the story I read here:) Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great Sunday,

Nicely observed opportunity to take advantage of the light in this moment.

J'aime votre façon de photographier et de savoir mélanger les genres.
Ici, encore, le résultat ne manque pas d'intérêt ni d'originalité.
Image bien observée.

Before started making any comments I was watching this photo for few minutes. I was thinking "just simple street snapshot", but then I realized the cleverness of the photographer (means you). You have shown just two walking men and their shadow so we can see them. But you have also shown the shadow of men waling in front but not showing them. So we can only guess who re they? Very clever, well captured. Greetings, Miro.

Either "Shadow Showcase" or "Creeping Crescents". I congratulate you on your patience, it paid off.

stunning graphics that you are getting for the BG, excellent timing and crop, despite the beautiful light I would be curious to see the B & W version here that I think would work very well, creative play of shadows well seen and realized...
