Photographer’s Note
In 1966 in the morning of the 26th of April Tashkent was damaged by a severe earthquake. 300000 people lost their homes, because the whole old city, built with adobe bricks, was ruined. Later the city was rebuilt with broad avenues and flatbuildings in socialist style. The memorial shows a family trying to escape from the desaster, but a gap is running straight towards them.
In the workshop I posted a full view of the memorial.

Hello Roland,
This is an interesting and differene monument. The woman's hair is flying as she runs away, which is a detail that gives added life to this artwork. Thanks for the extra shot showing the full view, too. Mouments like this one are a great way to learn more about a city.
