This was taken from the window of my very insalubrious room on the 7th floor of a similar building. The people on these 3 floors are from Uzbek, Tajik and Korean descent. This photo is best viewed bigger, but I thought I'd give it a go!

Interesting scene. It is hard for a people whose ancestors rode freely across the steppes to stay cooped inside boxes. Or is it just too hot inside? Anyway, I like the relaxed mood and a few happy smiles.Regards. Klaudio.

another wonderful one, sue ~ what a great composition; three different cultures; three parallel stories... the colors are so effective -- bright people against a drab background; the different groupings -- all of this makes this one a photo to linger over and see different things each time you look at it. thanks for sharing!

You had a good idea for this photo, although it makes me feel like some Peeping Tom watching people's lives on their balconies. I like the regularity of the composition, although each balcony shows people doing different things in different positions. Only the children at the bottom seem to be watching you. Regarding the size, any picture would be better viewed bigger than TE allows.

Fascinating scene and great framing. Your note also really enhances the interest of the photo and illustrates how diverse Uzbekistan is.

Interesting take on Uzbekistan, different from colourful photos from Bukhara and Samarand one normally comes across. I think you're right, it would look great as a large print on a gallery wall. Great crop and timing.
