The madrasa in Samarkand is the largest and most architecturally significant. It differs from other madrassas with it's unique wall decorations, a variegated decorative scheme, tiles and mosaic faience that covers every exterior surface. Marble is used to form dados and moldings.

Salam Sabo. Glorious sight- the colours are so opulent. Intricate work. thank goodness that the soviet era is over as much of Samarkand's treasures were neglected during that godless era. By the way, you have listened to Severa Nezarkan's music. I have two CDs of her songs.Best wishes. Klaudio.
