Honestly, I call this place impressive no matter how large or small. We don't see enough photos of Uzbekistan. This is a photo that makes me hope you'll post a lot more.

It's a gorgeous shot from Samarkand. Although I've seen a number of detail shots before, the panoramic shot is much more impressive. But I think a camera and the human eye don't function exactly the same way. Certainly, charge-coupled-devices (ccds) are far more sensitive than the eye could ever be, they cannot replicate the eye for the latitude of light perception in given scene. I'm going to offer a ws. I hope you don't mind, but I would like to think that you saw it slightly differently.

It's amazing view. Nice catch in the evening makes the mosque very nice. Well done.
