Former KuoMinTang warrior

After falling the war with Mao Tse Tsung communists, most of the Kuo Min Tang fighters fled to Taiwan, but some of them retreated into mountains of northern Thailand.

Their goal was to regroup, strike back and recapture the China from communist. How did it end - everyone know.

This man probably will not take part in any more figths, but he retained his warrior soul for sure

Strange contrast between the smile of the oid man and the idear of a warrior shown by the knife.

I like the colors very much...(I don't know if this is what you asked about being "experimental" :)
very good portrait..he is true to his past with his sword and true to his present with his handknitted babyblue sweater :)..very beautiful picture Antoni..

pfff i wouldn't trust the smile of a man wich such a huge knife in his hand, that's for sure...
i find this one quite scary, but i like evrything you did ..

WOW Antoni, I still find all your shots very interesting and this one is no exception. The colours DOF and all that is great, but this caracter takes the price for best capture at least posted on TE today, he's great!

nice shot Antek, great guy, great expression. i think the picture would be even better with a bit tighter composition - if you lowered your camera a bit and cropped the top of his head slightly, less sky... anyway, good portrait

Use fillflash on a sunny day. Also, looks like you have a problem with your color space.

i had to move and travel long time in the north of Thailand
its not usual to find this kind of face, hahahah give me his adress lol i like this man.

about the note:
and the military guy from China, i guess
u know about this small city DOI MAE SALONG
there is a small museum in a chinese hotel there
verry interresting city " city i should say big village "
