Photographer’s Note
I was on a raft, traveling from one remote village to another in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand. When spotted by locals, a group of young people waded (or swam) from the shore to try and sell me things. This girl was selling wrist bracelets and a multi-colored hat. I was most drawn to the determination (or desperation) on her face as she kept her wares dry.
