Pahurat market Photo

Photographer’s Note

Situated near Chinatown, Pahurat has one of the main wholesale vegetables and fruits markets in town... Streets are a permanent hustle and bustle. This woman, sitting in the back of her car and eating some soup, came from outside Bangkok to sell what they grow... no shortage of food there!
This will fit my Bangkok street vendors theme.

Salut Laurent,
Pratiquement chaque année je passe mes vacances à la plage ou bien en montagne avec le confort à portée de main, et dieu sais si un jour j'aimerais réaliser un voyage aveugle sans but dans ce genre de pays. Depuis 1978 je n'ai plus mis les pieds dans un pays d'Afrique ( qui me rappel des mauvais souvenirs certes) et j'espère vraiment réalisé un tel voyage!.....Avec toi peut être..:-)) (je blague)..!
En tout les cas je te remercie d'avance de me faire voyager avec toi à travers tes photos....j'y prend plaisir...!

Bonsoir Laurent,

Elle m'a l'air succulente cette soupe ... Une scène de rue à nouveau intéressante. Uniformité de couleur dans ces fruits et légumes. Les détails vestimentaires apportent les touches de couleurs qu'il faut. Joli coup d'oeil Laurent et merci pour le partage.

belle image typique de la thaïlande, avec les fameux T-shirt jaunes. Une scène de rue comme je les aime, avec de belles couleurs et un cadrage bien calculé.

Another nice daily scene.Good shot, just wonder if this man is also a sailer. I see a box from casio and something that looks like cds or something like that.There are lots of details to look at in this photo.Well done!

Très proche de la précédente, même si nous sommes en Thailande. Tu saisis bien l'âme de ces endroits. Sans effet particulier, hormis l'essence de l'endroit. Et c'est déjà beaucoup.

Une scène très intéressante, bien cadrée et de très bonne qualité.
Bravo surtout pour le cadrage parce que je sais par expérience que cadrer au marché n'est pas la plus facile des choses.

Beau moment de vie quotidienne, très bien saisi avec ces contrastec entre l'attitude des deux personnages, ou l'oppistion entre le jaune et le vert des légumes.
C'est très bien observé et très bien réalisé.

A crisp clear and dynamic shot, with the fellow in the foreground really dominating the scene with his uplited arm carrying some books and happy expression. The woman balances the frame and provides another focal point of interest, while the freshly wrapped vegetables lie strewn in between, with a narrow view of the street pedestrians to the left. A very fine capture. A keeper.

Indeed, she has plenty of green vegetables to sell ;-) You sure manage to get a good variety of street venders in the countries you visit and that's great. All your themes are growing fast. The man at left is a fine adition - he seems happy with all the shoppings...or may be he his the seller ;-) Good daily life shot.

I always like scenes showing the daily life of people. This one is no exception as markets are the best way in order to know the way people live. The vegetables are a spot of colour whereas the persons add life to the composition.

A great real life scene captured here Laurent - the guy carrying his CD's and the woman sat in the van eating her dinner. Great balance and colours with teh plasrtoc wrapped veg adding a nice extra touch of interest.

interesting capture...what does the man hold in his hands? I like theplay between the yellows and greens in this shot...very distinctive and helps give the photo some punch.
