In Thai language, 'Bang' = village & 'Tao' = Turtle. So this is 'Turtle Village' beach, & it's located just north of Kamala Beach. I liked the layers of beachrock at left. Bangtao is a cluster of upmarket 5 star resorts a bit over my budget, but a daytrip here is certainly worth while.

Just back from nepal i discover lots of new pictures in your gallery. Thai islands are indeed a wonderful place to relax. I like the green colours that you got here, especially in the see,

Hi Chris, good view of the beach, close to the ground and with beautiful green tones.

Good depth in this image. The big sandy beach leads the eye to the horizon down to the green hill in the background. It is a pity the sky was so white.
GOOD JOB. tHANKS FOR SHARING

It's quite empty but the perspective of the beachside is good, however the dull lighting conditions don't manage to transmit the tropical dream, possibly a rason why the beach is so empty !
Have a nice day,

A simple but quite good wide impression from the beach, Chris. The wooden pillars with the small lamps give a good repetitive element that leads the viewer's eye towards the background.

Hi Chris, I've been twice on Phuket Island, but never went to Bangtao. Is it easy to reach to the beach if you're not a member of that hotel?
Nice view on the large beach. Nice job, Nino

What a lovely beach, but without people again, a beach for excellent strolls or happy in the sun, maybe for one day, rich people can than maybe more days remaining! Splendid depth and nice perspective too, pleasant for looking.
Thanks for sharing.

Very good perspective looking down the beach. I like the line of lamps that lead the eye to the bar area from whence the headland in the background. Good clarity.

Bonjour, mon ami Chris,
Très intéressante vue de ce village de Tortue, et de ces couches formant des strates horizontales.
La vue est parfaitement cadrée avec ces lanternes placées idéalement placées dans la composition.
Image très bien mise en valeur.

interesting name for this lovely place. seems to me the layering on the left resembles that of the turtle's shell ;) The perpsective is well conveyed by the little lampposts on the left. well taken shot.

fine curved beach-scape with the lanterns as a great addition.

looks like you were seating during the shot because of the low POV. I like the beach lines made by the water and the mentioned rocks.

Merhaba Chris, my friend...
It's a wonderful point of view and perspective indeed... The tones of the green and their contrast between the beach's yellow are perfect... Also perfect details and clarity...
