Photographer’s Note

The Chinese Hainan Temple, in a back alley of Na Thon, on Ko Samui. As it is Chinese New Year, I thought I would upload something appropriate.

Hi Chris.

Maybe I'd preffered a more little centered view to emphatize the simmetry.

Anyway, the nice colours and the POV makes the picture great.

with no doubt appropriate for the Chinese new year, even though this one is in Thailand I could identify it as chiniese because I have seen a very similar one in HK, the elements are strikingly similar. Nice comprehensive view with well mastered exposure.

Good pick for Chinese New Year, Chris. Nice showing of the vividly colorful and ornate entrance to this temple - it takes a while and is fun to look at this and absorb all the details.

This is a timely shot, with Chinese New Year upon us again. I like the incredible colour in this, which is very vibrant and alive, and makes it seem like we are there. Well done!

The roof is very rich decorated.
And I think all these Chinese dragons symbolize exactly the Chinese New Year.

Hi Chris. Well you sure don't have any lack of colors in this one! The tight composition keeps the eyes on your colorful focal point. A person could be useful for scale though. I've never seen a temple like that. tfs Chris!

Hi Chris,
Most appropriate for Chinese New Year. The colourful tones and hues are remarkably and you have managed to control the bright light. The green foliage really enhances and provides balance to this scene. The Temple appears almost like a model sitting in a museum. Very fine work. Cheers.

Hello Chris,
An appropriate photo for the Chinese New year, showing the beautiful/colorful temple well ornamented, with many details to see on it. (I was also in Thailand at the time of New Year, but only in Bangkok). I like as well the palms behind the temple and the gray sky which contrasts well with the Temple's colors.
