During my journey on the automobile ferry which connect the islands of Lanta and the mainland. About 20 vans and trucks were loaded on the ferry which took me about 20 minuites hanging around on board.

This is the last sunset of 2006
My first intention was to capture those muslim girl on the pick up truck with my zoom lens because of their nice personalities. But before I zoomed in I just noticed that a hot sunset was reflected in the rear view of the pick up truck and it made a contrast mood. I was interested in the different color tone of the sky I've seen, the light cool sky and the hot sunset. So I decided to capture them both with muslim children.

Travel tips
The automobile ferry is the only important transportation for villagers and travellers on the island to travel to mainland. It usual works well on week days but get busier on weekend and very busy on every long weekend or big event vacation. Sometimes long queue can waste you for hours waiting to get on a ferry. So it's almost impossible to stick on a normal time table. This unpredictable ferry can cause a big trouble for your flight or any connecting travel plan. Optional back up plan would be suggest.
