Photographer’s Note
I shot this image of Wat Rathburana in Ayuthaya, Thailand a few years back. Auythaya Historical Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is located about 1 1/2 hour train ride north from Bangkok and is one of the best day drips you can do from the capital. This place was the former Royal Capital of Thailand. It is encircled by the Lopburi river. The ruins, some dating back to the 14th century are scattered all over the city. The best way to see the ruins is by renting a bike and peddling at your own pace from temple to temple.

Hi Spiros, i like the composition here, the door is a natural frame for the ruins in background..
Well seen and done again!
ciao!

Hello Spiros,
In this somewhat older image, you've done a very nice bit of composition, in framing a picture within a picture. Too much smmetry could be boring, but this is not. You've made a surrealistic painting out of the entire edifice. The terracotta colors stand especially majestically against the cerulean blue of the sky -- somewhat like the natural cliffs in the American West. The film you were using, Fuji Sensia, certainly was about the best since Kodachrome-25 and -64, or to some others, superior to them.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Spiros. A good viewpoint and composition but the colour, contrast and sharpness are a little too strong for me.

AAyuthaya is a place i missed last trip to Thailand. Maybe next time. I love how you've used the wall to frame the other building. I'd like to see this photo a little bigger, and yes, i think the saturation is a little too stong in this one.

Hi Spiros,
I was here recently and was checking my album for a similar POV. Yours has certainly come out better. Love the way you have framed the Wat through the doorway of the ruins.

Hello Spiros
I remember this place & had also taken similar shots, maybe I'll post later. The idea of the framing the prang through the doorway is appealing. A good job of scanning, but maybe a bit too saturated. Compositionwise very good indeed

Angshu
