[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Lahus are originally coming from Tibet.
This man in his 80-90 years old is a very famous Shaman, when herbal medicine doesn't work, black magic is invoqued... The tribes either cannot afford to see a western kind of doctor or are just living too far away from an hospital. The Shaman is also a very important part of the local customs...

Talking about local custom, we have ben terified to see the number of tribes which convert into the christian religion because of the few dollars reward given by the the missionaries in exchange of their basic believes, the tribes are mostly animists (simplified it means that they believe in spirits). This is disgusting to see this, the future kids of these tribes will have to go to the museum in order to see how their ancestors were living...

Hi Yan!
Really good photo on that light conditions.I like composition.I think the more close up photo,will be very interesting.
Light,colors,compo...+++.
Bravo!

Great light in his face and great background. Love the background. Those stripes of light are wonderful. Striking persona and a very nice sharp portrait. You are really crafting some good light in those portraits.

Great photo, and a great story. You're opening up my eyes to the ongoing of this area which I was never aware of, and you deserve a big congratulations for that. His face, the darkened scene says a lot about your feelings on this situation. A job very well done.

Ca c'est de la tres bonne portraiture, Yan, naturelle quant a l'execution, tout en gardant just assez de mystere...
Ton travail de documentariste inspire continue...
Amicalement,
Francis
