Interesting mural detail, inside the Wat Arun complex. Wat Arun means Temple of the Dawn - although interestingly it appears to be best viewed at sunset...
The temple was built during the reign of King Rama III (1824-1851), and stupa is decorated with thousands of pieces of broken pottery - which had previously used as ballast by ships coming from China.
Bangkok is the western name for the city, apparently the Thais generally refer to it as "Krung Thep", or "City of Angels", however this is only a shortened form of the full name. The full name of the city can be found here

I have also posted a very similar photo . It was also taken at Wat Pho, if my records are correct..
The colors show quite a difference between the photos. But I cann not recall the scene to tell which one resembles the real colors most.
