Photographer’s Note
That woman was our "sailor" during our trip along the canals of the floatin market of Damoen Saduak.
The business of tourist trasportation around the market is in the hands of some dozen of old women.

Annabel Lee
It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea:
But we loved with a love that was more than love -
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her high-born kinsmen came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me -
Yes! that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud one night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we -
Of many far wiser than we -
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling -my darling -my life and my bride,
In the sepulcher there by the sea -
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

Hello Paolo,
sympa cette image, un bon cadrage serré, juste un peu trop sur la main de droit, sinon c'est tout bon, j'aime bien l'expression de la dame qui te regarde de haut, tu aurais pu l'aider au lieu de la prendre en photo ;o)
A+

Hi Paolo,
Very dynamic shot. Nice composition and framing. The lady has a quite intimidating look. I like the toning.
The scan is not perfect, but it's still very good!

ciao paolo,
now i am convinced: i prefere your photos with people on them by far more than the landscapes; you have a good eye and skillful hand: look how well you framed that person here;
lovely shot;

Ciao Paolo,
Your framing idea looks nice to me and turning it to sepia was certainly a good idea, but you missed a part of the arm on the right side to complete the dynamism and you have as well quality issues there (resulting from the scan ?)
Buona giornata,

Hello Paolo
Nice closed framing, I like the upward looking angle and the BW giving it an old time look.

Hey Paolo,
I really like the b/w sepia tonality. It gives this an old time feel. The POV is magnificent, you captured her character by showing us her face in such full glory. This shot has a very photojournalistic feel, and the sepia sort of puts it in the 1970s perhaps during the Vietnam War.

Hi Paolo,
I am lokking at her face and see a very strong woman without a doubt..!!!
Really like this one, strong diagonal line thanks to the pole, and i like the Sepia tone.
Very nice...!!!

Ciao Paolo,
I like the close POV but I want to see her hand completely.
It's a pity because the diagonal is good.
Good tones

Hi Paolo.
