Photographers Note
The opinions may vary about art in the great temples of Bangkok, nevertheless, every time I visit the complex of Wat Phra Keo, I see new details, and a place I am fond of is the gallery where mural paintings describing scenes of the Ramakien Saga, and I can stay hours discovering the intricate details found in these great works. When I was there a team of painters were repairing part of them. As shown in this picture I am not the only one who spends time there, and this monk was following my steps, so I decided to wait until he would come close, and after kneeling, I said "Hello" and he looked at me. I used no fill-in-flash because the effect would spoil the depth, and surely get nasty reflections on the paintings.

Excellent travail,
Francis

First I notice wonderful colors in this picture. Then I think that the monk really belongs to the painture! There is something very ancient in him, so your pic seems to show a many centuries ago scene. Well done - as usual!

Selamlar Ustam,
ilginçtir, exif'te D70 görünüyor.. bir hata oldu herhalde.. :)

Hi Izzet.
Good this one. First because has a good composition and technically is a good shot.
But also is an irrepetible shot. And that's good. Then is irrepetible and a different and good daily life, a nice scene that you has captured and composed.
Well done.

Merhaba Izzet. Excellent portrait, the monk looks very proud, you captured him full of dignity. His strong face is very photogenic and his tones match the mural very well. Brilliant work.

Nice portrait of the monk in front of the murals, Izzet - well captured with the WA lens and a good showing of the character face with the white teeth. Judicious choice of tech -as you described in your note the way you took it was just the way to go for this one.

Hello Izzet,
Bien vu, a+
