Photographer’s Note

I shot this a matter of minutes after A helping hand. This is very simple -- three incense sticks smouldering as an offering to the gods.

Lewis, even the smoke assisted you creating the composition for this image. The colors and blured background bring the incense forward, and the DOF is perfect. Well done. TFS. Enrique

Quite a nice and sharp image.
Very clear fume nice shot from you.
Iam from madurai,From the photo of a spain man in the head of the kid is sandalwood,after shaving in the head we applied sandalwood for cool.

Hi Lewis.
Ces baton d'enscent qui partent en diagonale, ce superbe bokeh avec ces teintes vertes. La fumée qui vient apporter une grosse touche.
C'est bien fait. Il manque peut-être un poil de netteté.

Simple but nice. A very delicate shot with those wonderful wisps of smoke coming from the three sticks. The bokeh is so nice and creamy, you isolated the incense sticks beautifully.

Hi Lewis,
I have finally gotten round to viewing your wonderful photographs. I particularly love your portrait images ( wish I had the nerve to try this field myself!! ). But I have picked this photo out as my favorite of yours. Such a simple shot, but your excellent depth of field makes it visually strong and the blue cast from the smoke works lovely with the incense sticks. Your also deserve great credit for seeing the shot here, something many of us would never have seen. Very nice work.
