That's one of the best lightning I've seen.

Just one little remark : the photo is slightly tilted to the left

do not say : "This is the best photo of my life"
but :"This is the best photo of my life so far..."

Great shot! Welcome to TE. I can understand your excitement because this shot is truly amazing. The colors in the clouds from the lightning are vivid and the light shining off the water gives it a great feel. The only comment I have is that the horizon should be slightly straighter. I posted a workshop. Great shot, thanks for sharing.

An incredible and unique photo. The tourist couple walking along the beach are excellent - they seem to anchor the rest of the picutre in normality.

Amazing photograph Aykut! I especially love the reflection of the light on the ocean. Just a personal opinion but I kind of wish that that sign (with what looks like 2 artificial lights) wasn't there as it kind of distracts and takes away from the people walking by. And as others said, a little straightening out and it would be even better.

As said by many here before - this is really an amazing photo. Since I see no EXIF info here - what camera settings you used? And then I'm also just curious - what beach is that?

As of how to improve this photo - it seems to me the horizon is tilted CCW. I did a workshop.

Your first posting at TE is just impressive. Perfect setting with a top contrast between the artifical light in the foreground vs. the background lightning. The persons included just the best add on.

I understand this is the photo of your life - such a luck to be able to see and capture this huge lightning. Amazing how it light up the whole sky. One thing is the horizon which of course should be straighten.

Ortalık da iyi fotoğraf diye çıkan bir dolu fotoğraftan çok daha güzel bir fotoğraf...
Umarım ki bu şimşeği yakalamak için çok uğraşmışınızdır..
Ama zamanlama mükemmel elbette, diğer işklarla olan uyum mükemmel,sağdaki kara ve ışıkları ile soldaki insanlar kompozisyonu harika tamamlamış...Birtek soldaki tabelaların üzerindeki ışıklar rahatsız edebilir ama genede iyi niyetle bakıldığında onu görmek istemeyebilinir...

Gercekten inanilmaz keyifli bir resim olmus. Sans mi, yakalamak icin ciddi sekilde beklendi mi bilemiyorum ama her ne ise degmis. Except that it needs a tilt, and that has been taken care of in the workshop, beautiful colors and a perfect catch. Eline saglik. Cheers,

This is definitely a photo you can be proud of. This lightning on those heavy clouds is breathtaking. Two ladies didn't even notice it - maybe it's better for them...
You could make it better by rotating it in order to have a strait horizon. Also I'd cut the picture between the ladies and the distructing lights.
