Photographer’s Note
Mu Koh Chang National Park is an archipelago of about 50 islands, which combine to make up a truly picturesque vista. Some islands are simply gigantic rock formations that seem to burst up out of the ocean, while others are covered with rich, verdant forests. The park covers an area of 650 sq km, of which Koh Chang itself accounts for 429 sq km. Phuket is the only larger island in Thailand.
This wonderful island is thankfully not as exploited as some of Thailand's islands have become, and remains unpolluted, with white sandy beaches.
Koh Kut is the most distant from the mainland, and the cleanest, in Thailand’s eastern seas. Visiitors are delighted by its wonderful scenic views of coconut groves, rubber plantations, tranquil beaches, and a spectacular waterfall. Koh Kut is the fourth largest island in Thailand with an area of 129 sq km, located in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand. Its ecology and natural resources remain absolutely unspoilt, and the mountains and plains with their ridges of hills are the source of streams and waterfalls, such as the Klong Jao Waterfall. Thai people have heard about this particular waterfall because King Rama VI visited it in the year 1911 and named it as the Arnumkok waterfall in commemoration of Ong Chang Sou. In Thai folklore, during the reign of King Rama I, Ong Chang Sou was a refugee who used Kut Island as his hiding place.
The Klong Jao Waterfall has 3 tiers, and flows all year round. The bottom tier falls into a wide stream, which you can have great fun in with your kids. On the beaches you will probably see the Tao Din birds diving and pecking around for their tasty seafood tidbits. The west of the island has the best sandy beaches and bays, such as Klong Lahan beach, Klong Yaikee beach, Tapo beach, Paol Bay, and Tadean Bay. The island also features fertile forests and several species of coral. The main local occupations are fishing, agriculture, and harvesting of coconuts and other fruits.

There are very few tourists, and very few accomodations. There's also a big problem of malaria in the whole island.

Hi Paolo.
More or less the same as everybody is telling in the critiques: simple compo, almost with simetry and the athmosphere you get is strange.
Thanks for sharing and regards!

Hello Paolo,
very useful note to accompany this photo. I like how the symmetry is played with. On both sides we have an umbrella with folding chairs and plastic chairs but in different arrangements. A bit too bad that the other umbrella peeks in on the right side. Colors are nice and the frame is well chosen too.

Bello scatto Paolo.
Grazie.
Ciao

Woah! It looks like you were in for a storm. Excellent conposition; it seems abandoned in readiness for the storm. Good note too. Did you go to the waterfalls?

Ciao Paolo,
strange atmosphere here, all the people deserted the beach...
I like the color tones.
The third sunshade, on the right, is a little bit disturbing.
Anyway a good shot

Ciao Paolo,

Ciao Paolo,
you captured the mood of an empty beach very well. I like the threatening clouds and the green sea. Good composition, but the frame is a little bit too wide. Kind regards,
Roland
