hehehehehehehe... You know what? This photo has kind of 60´s mood and it´s rather odd because no conection possible but I feel it like this. Probably your photo has made some conection in my mind and I think this is very good. Thank for this Maciej.

I think you misread this woman's reaction. I interpret her delight as related to the man behind the mirror, not her own image reflected in it. Having said that, I like this image Maciek with its well controlled depth of field that puts the focus on the image in the mirror. I love the expressions of both the man and woman. There is some kind of playful exchange occurring at the moment that is quite delightful to witness.
I've read of your dissatisfaction with Cardiff and the challenges of taking photos in that environment. I'm reminded of your thread in the forum about taking photos closeup and the reaction I had because of the inherent difficulties of doing so in a culture where folks don't like to have their pictures taken. You return to the East where folks are much more amenable to having cameras pointed in their direction. I certainly don't blame you or Claude, or Simon, or Luko for returning so often to this colorful region where folks with cameras in their hands have so much more freedom to ply their craft. Were I at a different stage in my life, I'd probably be joining you. Regardless, I always enjoy what you bring back from your travels. Thanks for sharing your excellent work with us.

nice job getting the focus so well in the reflection. the dim light and the nice DoF are a good match.

Very nice point of view and terrifically sharp focus on the mirror redlection of the woman's face where all the expression of surprize and happiness is.

dobrze uchwycone, strasznie realistyczne a zarazem groteskowo. niepoprawnie politycznie powiem ze przypominają mi Shreka

Quite a confounding composition, Maciej! I had to look at it for some to understand it...very interesting. Excellent capture.

Masterful framing of a fantastic and insightful moment. Its funny though that you go to Thailand and bring back a photo of a European woman:) You could have stayed in Cardiff:) The DOF is excellent, absolutely brilliant actually how you control it just right to isolate and emphasize.

Fantastic timing, Maciej, and disciplined control over VERY fluid elements of light, color and general bustle in that part of town..
One observation: some of your recent Cambodian and Thai pics have the feel of your best Wales photos, as ooposed to the older stuff you did in Asia. Personally I think it's a very good thing - means you are moving on, always upward, my friend.
Bravo! Super capture.

interesting composition i like it,
its more like lady is interested in the guy's attitude, not her reflection in the mirror..
but still, composition is beautifully done..great expressions..
cheers.

Well seen shot Maciej. Nice work to sort out the mess of Khao San and bring us an interesting bit of the life there. The pic is a bit busy still, but the shallow DoF does a good job of managing it.
Cheers,
alex

Excellent composition, very nice colours. Good focus point with nice dof - the man's face is not too sharp to attract attention at the first sight, but not too smooth to don't attract it at the second sight. I like this photo.

Maciek!
I'm back after a long time and I see you're still taking good pictures as always!... I remember Khao San Road... my favourite place in BKK. I guess this woman was about to get something done with her hair?
I like this picture because you can see interaction from one angle. It's strange but unique and very intersting!
Great work... I'm sure if these two people saw it, they'd like this shot too! ;^)
