Photographer’s Note
I wanted to make a shot of the sitting buddha.
Suddenly this sweet monkey came up and looked curiously what I've been doing.
This was a much better photo this way - the buddha alone would have been a little bit boring?!?

Great job taking advantage of a fantastic photo opportunity. Really satisfying composition and good use of DOF. The sepia tone effect works too. :)

Funny and great, of course buddha alone will be boring, monkey snd buddha have the samw frisour!! :) But monkey is not sharp and whole photo is shown in low quality.

this is a beautiful composition,
a very funny picture with those mixed styles.
sad that the picture seems to have a very low resolution.
Well seen.

Yes, Wishnu, the Buddha image alone would be rather ordinary, but, with the monkey it makes a great piture. I like the Buddha image out of focus and it is so good to place the monkey just off center. He has a great expression.

Wishnu,
You could not have made a funnier picture and the title is great! I like the sepia and the blurred Buddha. The focus is definitely drawn to the monkey. Very well done!

Hahaha, very sweet photo, i like the sepia color you gave it. It is a sympatic picture with this curious monkey and quite and cool Buddha in the back. We had luck with the monkey. Thanks

C'est une photo très humouristique, elle a tout à fait sa place dans le thème. Techniquement c'est pas facile de faire d'un instantané une photo aussi parfaite qu'une photo de studio. Mais le message passe bien.

Great use of Black and white! There is a strong relartionship between the monkey and the statue, which is hardly seeing because of the good use of DOF. And the monkey has a so human mood! Fantastic! Livia

This is one of the most amusing and picturesque shots i have seen on TE, great combination and cool scene you were lucky to step upon and skilful to arrange as a wonderful compo. I wouldn't mind, if the TE book had this as a cover. Hats off, wishnu. That's what photography is all about, one second happenstance and everlasting enjoyment...A shot that does pride to TE, and so easy to miss, as i did.

Nice one, really interesting to find how u shifted the POF from Buddha to the monkey. It reminds of the fables related to Lord Buddha. Monkey is known to an incarnation of Lord Buddha.

Well shot!

That's a great and funny inspiration. A good eye + a good idea + a pertinent title = a great shot. Excellent.
