Here's another one shot of the cute little boy I met in Lopburi Province in Thailand.
One person ask about the hair. I made some research and discovered that Thai parents during the olden times believed that there's a part of the head that is very fragile. Thus, they have to grow the hair to protect that spot. Even if the kid has to have a haircut, that spot shouldn't be cut. And so it grows and grows. At around the age of 8, there will be a ceremony to be conducted to go along with the cutting of that long hair. It also marks the intitiation of the kid into a more responsible childhood.
Last time, I also posted a picture of two kids on top of some animal. I didn't answer yet what the animal is. Click on the workshop to find out.

As the previous ones, I really like this serie.
The expression of the boy and all these bubbles contribute to the atmosphere.
Nice colours and DOF.
It's really a great job

Great moment you caught here, it seems the boy is taken his play more seriously (or perhaps curious) than showing amusement. A good background colour too, contrasting with the subject.

Oh thanks for the explanation about the stange haircut - I like the little worried look at his face and the fine moment you captured - also thanks for the solution to the former riddle.

You had taken some!!!
This one is even more beautiful than the one that I had in favourite where we saw her of profile.
That to say in front of such a spectacle of simplicity and sweetness?
Tu en avais pris plusieurs !!!
Celle-ci est encore plus belle que celle que j'avais en favorite où on la voyait de profil.
Que dire devant un tel spectacle de simplicité et de douceur?

Great, great capture Manny. If I have to name him, I'd call him Peter Pan. Regarding your note, even though we all know the physically speaking, the fear about that portion of a child's head is true, I shudder to think how that fear got connected with cutting hair in the first place.

This is a lovely picture, Manuel. I love these traditional Thai hairstyles and, as you have shown, you can still find children wearing them today. In the past the cutting ceremony (when it was cut off) was a big occation. The picture with the bubbles is delightful. (Well any Thailanders knew it was a bufallo, Manuel, but the full picture is wonderful, I love it, why don't you psot it?)

Very soft image
I like the glance on the soap bubbles
It is the same glance for all the children of the world
The glance of innocence and the discovery
Janice (4403) 2005-06-30 5:25

Hi Manny! Your shots of this boy are all amazing! He really was oblivious to you all along - he's so focused on those bubbles! Very nice colors and sharpness, as usual! rgds.

Lo mejor es la expresion de la cara del niño, el fondo desenfocado es ideal para destacarla.
