Both the title of the photo and the poster of the building are correct.
This photo was taken in October of 2003 but in Thailand there was the year 2546. This is because in Thailand the Buddhist calendar is used which starts in year 543 bC of the western calendar, date of the death of Buddha. The year begins also on first of January but those 543 years of difference exist.
The building is the Bayoke tower, tallest in Bangkok with 309 meters.
The photo is a scanned negative and treated with Neat Image to reduce the noise. |

Hi Clemente,
Informative note and a nice picture. You must have been rather high yourself for this shot. However the building gives 2003 and not 2546. Not so Buddhist any more?
