There is not a lot to do during the heat of the day in Bangkok, most of the city is based on nightlife, with few sights during the day. The best tactic is to do as the locals, and stay in the shade. Many go to the sanitised awful shopping malls, but I found the old markets and alley ways cool enough and certainly better food and atmosphere.

You're capturing well this daily life by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the seller and food stand in Bangkok city. She looks as tired a little. It's impressive in vegetables or spices on table. The smell of people's life can be felt from this photograph, although it is an old stop.

Ah, everybody needs the light...
Classic division of the frame for this market portrait. Light on the lady is just good enough, her face almost too dark, just enough. My favourite detail is the hand spread out on her belly and the ring on the finger.
Cheers & enjoy yourr week

Hello Justin - Bangkok is a favorite city of mine and your series of street scenes captures the mood of the place very well. I like this shot, the ambient light is well managed and authentic, the details of produce for sale good..... mmmm, those dried shrimp, just what I need for some cooking and I love the relaxed look of the vendor. Warm wishes for 2013 and best regards rosemary

and speaking about light... I was writing in a comment yesterday that we cannot really influence the light in a photo, it's more a gift that it's handed to us and that we have to be quick to accept - and this is a nice example of it. we have parts in good light, parts hidden by shadows, and interesting bits in between :)
I agree with your choice for colour here, only a radical PP would have created an extended tonal range here and I prefer the way you kept it.
