Photographer’s Note
After returning from Europe in 1897, King Rama V (1868-1910) constructed a royal garden, which he called "The Dusit Garden". The first permanent residence built there in 1900 was the Vimanmek Mansion. King Rama resided there between 1901-1906.
The Vimanmek Mansion is the world's largest golden teakwood mansion, with its elaborate architectural style, reflecting western influence.
The gardens surrounding the mansion are also magnificent, but I cropped the photo to highlight the teakwood construction.

good composition Andrew, and a very interesting note to go with it. I think you have highlighted the teakwood well.

You've made a good display of a mass of windows. The shot is somewhat overexposed, try bringing down the brightness and increasing the contrast. I think you'll see more richness in the teak and color in the sky.
I think the shot would have been better had you positioned yourself dead center in front of the Mansion and let the sides be equal, the roof level with the top of the frame.
A frustrating place to visit in that you are not allowed to photograph the interior.
Great notes.

I like the capture of the frame full of windows. Nice reflections of trees and sky also. Crisp photo shows intricate detail work. I agree with Bob about the angle of the roofline. Nice work.
