Ko Samet – paradise on Earth Ko Samet’s natural beauty has allured many tourists. From clear blue sky with the bright sunlight reflecting off the clear blue ocean making its rippled way to white sandy beaches, you have found yourself in a true paradise on earth. Ko Samet is registered as one of Thailand’s National Parks situated in Rayong Province about 200 kilometers east of Bangkok. The island is only seven kilometers from main land. There are seven piers operating ferry lines from Ban Pae mainland to various beaches on Ko Samet. The main pier is Nadan, north of the island where National Park Fee of 200 Baht will be collected. From there visitors can take a 10 minute walk to Hat Sai Kaew Beach, Northeast of the island where there’s a dirt road that runs all the way to the south of the island.
