Photographer's Note
This photo is not going to win any artistic awards, has someone's arm jutting into it, and isn't even very in-focus, but it was a spur-of-the-moment shot and I feel that the subject of the photo might compensate for its lack of technique.
We were in Bangkok doing some last-minute shopping, when we spotted this somewhat enterprising man on the walkway we were on outside the Siam Skytrain station.
This man has a harsh life, but at least he can count on his faithful companion to see him through it.

both funny and touching pix. Funny too, to think that the dog has the discipline to stand next to its cup, and maybe will not fall asleep and keep a goood count of the "offerings". As I do love Thailand and dogs, there is also something heart-breaking about it, and i hope that in dire straits, they both keep good care of each other. Thanks, I wish not to take away from the lousy focus. There is emotion to the shot....

Even sad situations like this one, bring up some smile...
Thanks for sharing Derek!

Hi Derek. Indeed out of focus and an arm, but my reason for typing these words is this.
