Photographer’s Note
I liked the lone beachcomber in the distance. Taken between Kamala & Patong Beaches. The yellow rock along the shoreline is fringing coral reef. The minimalist colour, & textured rocks also attracted me. I tried a slight ccw rotation, but reversed it, as the optical illusion of the slope at left, made it look odd.

Hi Chris, good view with the small. small man walking between the rocks on the beach! he's the only way to understand the real dimension of the beach!

Hi Chris.
Excellent depth. The detail of the person in the picture gives us a perfect idea of how big that place is.

Hi Chris,
the stones in the foreground are sharp, clear and give a good "entrance" over the wide bay with the beachcomber. The eye is getting lost in this wide beach area. I like the light on the wet beach.

Olá Chris, superb composition of this beach scene. Great foreground and nice graphism from the corals on the seashore. The human presence is of course a wonderful adition. A b&w convertion could be interesting. Really good shot!

Hi Chris,
This is how boulders should be taken ... they look big! The lone beachcomber surely gives the viewer a sense of perspective of the whole scenery. Excellent composition ... TFS

Hello Chris,
Very nice shoreline composition. I like the use of the foreground rocks as an anchor point; the eye can then wander on to the beachcomber and the curving headland beyond. Very good tones and clarity. I like the contrast between the clean detail of the rocks and the mist covered headland.

The lone beachcomber looks all the more alone thanks to your super PoV. I love the in-focus foreground and the oof middle and BG.

Very nice shot! At first glance this looks like a beach shot from around Vancouver, with the grey colour and huge rocks. It is very interesting the way the lone figure stands out among all of the debris on the beach. Well done!

Hi Chris
Great composition with the sharp rocks in the foreground and that lone person dwarfed on the beach. The hazy background contrasts well. I would have just rubbed out the object high left as it distracts slightly from the person.

Hi Chris. Yes those textures on the rocks are indeed very good and the sharp focus and clarity certainly helps enhance them. I'm not real sure if it's level myself either. I might like to see the brightness reduced a notch or two though.

Useful foregraound foil for this scene, enhancing the smallness of the character in the landscape.

I like him too Chris. Always in these kind of setting the interference of a human strolling around is superb for setting the scale - as here. Good use of the foreground details really adding depth and perspective to the setting.

Hi, Chris.
Nicely balanced compo, with the textures of the rocks in FG and the neverending beach in BG. Great lighting as well.

This is a great one, Chris. A very rich image, with endless array of rocks in many sizes. The light is fantastic, almost hypontizing, and the human beachcomber, is a nice surprise. I like this image very much.
