I liked the graphism of the dark green palm, against the distant beach. I think the white object in the distance is a parasail? The Thai fishing boats in the fg are called 'longtails', due to their long propellor shafts. This area was hit by the Boxing Day tsunami (26/12/2004), but seems to have largely recovered.

Classic scene from you, nicely framed by the trees, and a nice memory for me. Background a touch OE.

Hello Chris,
A very tropical scene. Like you I like the contrast beween the dark palms and the far headland. Nice composition with the boats providing additional foreground interest. Good tones and clarity.

Hi Chris.

I like how the dark turns into green. It's great! The depth is, as usuall, lovely.

Rgs, Oscar

Bonjour, mon ami Chris,
Philippe

Hy is there any Kabala beach you know in the area?
I know about from the title of a new age music group, but i think that is in India
very good colours and dof here...The nature nows how to take care of it...the nature rebuilt itself quickly and good...we does the same:)
regards, m.

Hi Chris,
The trees provide here a paradise feeling and as well a shelter from the hard light and for the photographer... beach looks very empty, which is temptating if you don't mind the dard sun.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hallo Chris
can't see the trace of tsunami here, very nice capture of the beach
I like how you composed with the palm trees and boats

Hi Chris,
the change from the front darkness to the brighter part behind is interesting. Also the change of the palm from the dark lower part to the bright and clear leaves in the top. I like it too.

Exotic and top composed setting of the palm and the great boats at the beach Chris. Little bit difficult light but the setting here is anyway just great.

Hello Chris,
un endroit paradisiaque, avec des lumières un peu surexposées aux endroits ensoleillés.
Un cadrage adéquaét, en embuscade derrière les cocotiers.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Beautiful seascape with the dark palm trees captured with good perspective and great colours contrast.

Hi Chris,
Good view from behind the trees to the beach and longtails , light was difficult, however details are sharp and colors fine...Phuket isquick to recover as loads of money is being spent for a major tourist destination... not everywhere it is the same i suppose!

Great tropical scene, with those palm trees hanging over the beach, being so evocative of the warm ocean breeze. It's good to hear that the area has recovered from the tsunami, and people are coming back. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Chris,

Very beautiful and calm beach. I asked God to give me this place to live. Good composition, well framed.
Greetings,
Leonor

Hola Chris.
This shot looks like it was taken in my country except for the type of boats, lovely tropical scene, very well captured. Good colors and sharpness, your POV is very good.
Well done.

Hi Chris,
Lovely classical tropical composition. The beautiful canoe’s captured by the palm trees. Only the coconut is missing.
Groet Rob

Hi Chris. That's good to hear they have recovered since the tsunami. The sharpness in the palm trees is just right. It might help balance the exposure if the brightness of the highlights was reduced. tfs Chris.

Hi Chris

Nice pov beetwen the palm trees. Lovely place and magnific depht.
