[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I may post a Phuket sunset eventually, but I think this image is much more TE, and sums up the mood of this low season at Phuket resorts. As I noted before, extraordinary how much work has been done in such a short time repariing all the damage here. When you see how they work, easy to see how, 12 hour days, seven days a week, and all with that effective Thai quite efficiency. This was taken at about 8.30 on Sunday morning. I've more with workers for later.

I thought of doing it in B&W, but then I thought the brown wooden scaffolding, and bright green foliage helped locate it.

hi richard,
very very funny idea for the shot, and a wise of you to show us THIS version of the sunset; unusual and good its full colour, i agree;
bw, jerzy

Hi Richard, I dont think this is a fantastic shot but all means, but it is a real TE shot, in my opinion. Shows us what is happening in the world through photography. But as you can see, you do not get the exposure for this kind of shot. If you had posted your sunset, which basically teaches us nothing, you would have had many views and probably double figure points.
Not that it is all about points. I also had the same when I returned this year, I posted a few not brilliant shots but which told soemthing about the palace, the villages in northern cambodia etc...added an informative note but noone even came to look. What's the point, so i stopped and posted portraits.
But it does make me wonder if TE is still adhering to its original goals or has it become another photo gallery. Sorry for this long comment, maybe I should put this in the forum.
You get my points anyway:)

Well you have found a truly unusual view of Kamala, Richard: very far from the traditional plam tree and yellow sand. However, it is a ncie picture and a good document Regards Kevin.
